As spring moves forward, plots are going in all over Ohio! Plots our case, are areas in the fields with side by side comparisons of different seed varieties. There is multiple reasons why someone may want to put in a plot on their farm. Plots help with research and helps producers learn more about key factors that impact their yields along the way. It also helps the seed companies grow and learn where their genetics are in modern day farming practices. Last week we worked to get a corn plot in ourselves. Some do soybean, some do silage and more!
